Call Change Composer

Introduction

The Call Change Composer is a tool to help compose sequences of call changes. You can give the tool a number of rows to include in the composition and it arranges them in an order that will give a short composition that includes all the rows you wanted. Optionally, the program will also print all the intermediate rows and the calls.

Why is this useful? Well, it allows you to include many musical rows into a call change sequence without it getting too long to be practical. It naturally reflects how one might call changes anyway: to go from Kings (531246) to reverse rounds (543216), you wouldn't go via Tittums (142536) first, unless you particularly wanted a long sequence. However, when there are many rows you want to include, it is not easy to work out what order to put them in. You might use this program to work out a composition for a striking competition, or a service piece, or something interesting for a practice night.
